Karen paints the human figure in acrylics. “My goal is not just to depict people as they are, but to create new harmonies of line, shape and color in their environments. I find that if the composition is strong, the emotional impact of the painting is strong.” Solo shows have included College of Marin, Ca., The Oregon Governors’ Offices, Hanson Howard Gallery, and the main gallery at Rogue Gallery and Art Center.
