Couch, Photography; Ann DisSalvo, pastel and watercolor with charcoal; Chris Dworin, Ceramic Sculpture; Dawn Ferrari, Stone Sculptures; Marie Foley for Leslie Gabrielle, watercolor; Neil Stewart, Contemporary Sculpture; Diana Trygg, multi-media; Daniel Verner, Acrylic Paintings; Ingo Wedde, Outdoor Metal Sculpture. Artist Diana Trygg states that her artwork, “The New York er Women,” are images that were all curated from The New Yorker magazine over a period of several years. Each drawing was composed and printed in the same size and format; yet each one depicts women in a different manner and attitude. Seducer, grandmother, wife, dancer all females in different roles and humors.”
J. Ellen Austin, the resident artist of the JEGA Gallery believes, women with ‘Attitude,’ and the men who LOVE us, exhibit courage in their daily lives and strive to give back to others, their communities and society at large.” J. Ellen goes on to say, I’m talking about women and men who do something with their lives and keep on doing, keep on learning, growing and contributing.” “Attitude” symbolizes an outlook and respect for other peoples’ philosophies, lifestyles and cultural diversities while retaining a youthful willingness to learn and grow from new knowledge and experiences.”
This year an incredible array of works comprising photographs, sculptures, drawings, paintings and performance art provoke a whole spectrum of thoughts and bring forth a whole range of emotions.
