Steampunk Sculpture featuring Ashland’s artist and designer Neil Stewart

JEGA Gallery features the Steampunk Sculptures from Ashland’s artist Neil Stewart.Neil Stewart Steampunk sculpture 2  Since moving to southern Oregon in 1971, Neil has been designing and building houses and restaurants.  He created the façade for Alex’s restaurant, which received Oregon’s best historic renovation award 1985. Also constructed the Art Nouveau iron work on Guanajuato way, Ashland.  Neil is currently engaged in building an organic farm and greenhouses with AquaPontic and hydroponic growing beds.

Get inspired and start your October FIRST Friday Artwalk at the JEGA Gallery on A Street on the corner of 5th Street in the Railroad District. JEGA will be open from 5pm to 8pm with meet our artists, music and refreshments.

JEGA will be participating in Ashland Open Studio Tour October 11 & 12, 2014 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM  Free to attend! Begin your tour at JEGA Gallery and we will provide maps!

JEGA will inspire you to take up stone sculpting with your purchase of raw stone including marble, alabaster, and soapstone. Also available for purchase a limited inventory of sculpture tools will be available for a short time.

The JEGA Gallery and Sculpture Garden is situated in an Art triplex designed and built by resident sculptor J. Ellen Austin where artists live above and work below. As it is artist owned, JEGA is a little unusual, and bypasses the traditional gallery set up and mark up!  J. Ellen believes, “people open up to a broader view of the social, historical, political and environmental concerns through the Arts, and open up to how they themselves can contribute to making this a better world!”

The JEGA Gallery & Sculpture Garden, Inc., 625 A Street Art Triplex nestled in Ashland’s Historic RR District on the corner of 5th Street & A Street.  As a working art studio, JEGA’s exhibits include a bodacious mix of visual and contemporary art.

Studio AB  621 A Street Features resident artists Ann Disalvo and B. Allen Bayard.  Disalvo works in mixed media, fluent in figures and landscapes. Bayard creates archival digital ink jet prints of electronic collages.
