In the Moment
Pamela attended the Flint Institute of Arts in Michigan in the 1960’s. Throughout her life, she has studied and explored many mediums and methods of painting, which lead to a fascination with perceptions of self image, and value placed on the female physical form. Pamela’s approach is to distort and exaggerate using an abstracted expression of her personal experiences, in order to create a connection between the painting and the viewer. She credits her growth as an artist by the association with the many talented and skilled artisans she has worked with and learned from, here in Southern Oregon. Pamela continues to attend workshops in order to study with nationally acclaimed artists in the Pacific Northwest, and prefers to paint with Mixed Media. Her hope is that the viewer experiences the same contagious intoxication with the human form.
