One Woman Show
Contemporary artist Diana Trygg is hosting a one-woman show of work she has completed over the past five months. Trygg was exposed to art, museums, and architecture at a very young age. Born in Venezuela, with relatives living in Spain, she was given an international perspective on life in her teens.
Producing three-dimensional collages of “curated art” pictures provides immense satisfaction and joy in the actual creative process. Finished pieces are composed of found objects and images that have been culled over years – everything from hand-carved wooden figures to faux pearls offers an opportunity to create a unique vision. Subject matter has varied from lush gardens complete with actual preserved butterflies to a tribute to Frida Kahlo that includes an Inca-style clay mask, carved jungle animals, metal chains and Japanese wrapping paper. Each piece offers a singular viewpoint not often discovered in everyday life.
