JUNE: Frank Phillips Pottery

Ceramic Vessel, Frank Phillips

Ceramic Vessel, Frank Phillips

We will be featuring the ceramic arts of Frank Phillips this June.   With a daily practice and over 30 years in the craft, Frank creates beautifully expressive and functional pottery to enhance the home.

Frank has been making pottery in  Ashland, Oregon, since 1978.

As a student and long-time friend of Bauhaus master potter, Marguerite Wildenhain, his pottery reflects this influence and experience with strong, classic forms and functional design.

In his Ashland studio, Frank makes each piece from start to finish using a stoneware clay body for strength, original glazes and slips, hand carved and painted slip decorations.

Please join us, meet the artist and enjoy an early summer evening of art in our beautiful downtown during the Ashland Gallery Association First Friday Artwalk, Friday, June 5th from 5-8 p.m. Light refreshments will be offered.
