Greeley Wells – Figure Drawings and Video Installation
March 29th – April 21st we will be featuring Framed the figurative drawings and video installation of Greeley Wells.
The film, Greeley’s Nature, was awarded Best Short Documentary Film last year at the Columbia Gorge International Film Festival. In this 17 minute film, Greeley invites the viewer to look deeply into the unfolding of nature, weaving scenes of the natural world with music. Drawing inspiration from his surroundings, much of the imagery is from the Applegate, his home. Several local musicians have contributed their music.

April 22nd – April 24th we will preview May’s Exhibit, For the Birds, the work of Jhenna Quinn Lewis, Claire Duncan and Barbara Orsow during A Taste of Ashland.
Greeley Wells Is a lifetime artist, now making digital films of nature and people. He has been in the Applegate for over 26 years. This beautiful area off the grid beyond Applegate Lake is the source of many of his images. He’s been happily able to follow the full seasonal flow of nature first hand and close. Sometimes he roams to other favorite places like Crater Lake to find more inspiration and more spectacular sources for his filmmaking. He recently won a Best Short Documentary Film award at the Columbia Gorge International Film Festival, for his film Greeley’s Nature. His next film,NUDE, will have it’s world premiere in Ashland at the Enclave Studios, April 14th. He continues to make films. His upcoming project will focus on total eclipse of the sun in August, 2017.
