Distinctive Characters and Ordinary Folks

Figurative Paintings by Karen Staal, Wayne Armstrong, Robert Koch, and sculpture by Candace Miller.

Staal’s new work depicts couples within a format, leaving the viewer open to interpretation of their relationship or situation.
Portraits by Armstrong, who was last month’s featured artist with “Botanicas Artephonius”, include “Self portrait of a young Clark Kent” and “My Girl With A Pearl Earring”.
Koch’s scenes are filled with folks and sometimes pets who seem to stop and pose momentarily for a photo op. He is a welcome newcomer to our gallery stable.
Miller whose last show at HHG was a series of figurative assemblages that included ceramic elements, has been working exclusively with clay and retaining her humorous, sometimes outrageous imagination.
