Animal Cheer

Janet Collamer’s artwork began after retiring from her teaching career. First she painted rocks, then mandalas, and then graduated to painting portraits and landscapes. When the world started getting her down, and animals began cheering her up, Janet took to painting chickens, cows, horses, llamas and alpacas.  After visiting the Fiber Arts Collective and being inspired by mixed-media work on display there, she began adding additional materials to her paintings.  She finds creating art stimulating and the act of painting soothing.
