My work is about reaching a deep set of emotions that are hidden in plain sight. I believe
not only of the magic of mystery, but of the expansion of the human mind. Taking a mundane
act and expanding it to the absurd allows the mind to make its own personal relations;
reaching a core reflection that goes beyond the limits of just this timeline.
Thorndike Gallery (Art Building):
Art Expressing Emotion
Katie Vermillion
Capstone Exhibition
For this project, I wanted to find a way to put color with my black and white drawings that are
meant to be expressing a particular emotion. The faces are always one’s I feel I can relate to; I look at
them and know I have felt what they are feeling. I want to see if others can look at these faces, and see
if they can find a connection with them as well.
Meyer Memorial Gallery (Marion Ady Building):
Mudlark
Chella Foster-Flynn
Solo Exhibition
These works, spawned by my tendency to romanticize times other than the present, explore
the immutability and candor of memory. Using found and scavenged second hand photographs,
I created a series of images that feel deeply nostalgic and reminiscent of my past, although they have no
actual occurrence in my life.
Art Department Chairs Gallery & Boise Cascade Gallery (Marion Ady Building):

Group Exhibition
We are a community of artists, working together in Carol Ingram’s painting classes.
Our work is purposefully diverse, and our goal is for each artist to find her own
voice, in an atmosphere of mutual support and learning. These classes have been
ongoing for more than twenty five years.
Inquiries regarding purchase of these works may be directed to Mary Ann: Seawave@ccountry.net
