When I Live My Dream
Anna McGrath
BFA Thesis Exhibition
Using the media of photography, printmaking, and embroidery this serial art exhibition explores ideas of celebrity, fantasy, fashion, aura, and media through constructed narratives and objects. The exhibition consists of a collection of linked objects and images that document and contribute to a larger constructed editorial, ethos, and attitude.
Thorndike Gallery (Art Building):
The Company I Keep
Thomas Fisher
Capstone Exhibition
How are we influenced by those we associate with? The subjects that I paint are people that I know who have affected and influenced me in some way. Some, I have known all my life and others I have only known for a few months. On each canvas I have sculpted and removed the paint to form the image of a person, in the way that I feel that they have influenced who I am.
Meyer Memorial Gallery (Marion Ady Building):
Hayley Weak
Home Away from Home
Solo Exhibition
This collection of prints depict places I explore and escape to. They define who I am, making me nostalgic of my childhood running through the desert, hiking in the mountains, studying abroad and finding a new home hundreds of miles from where I grew up. These places: the rocky mountains, the desert of the southwest, the pacific northwest, Iceland are all places I have grown to love, my homes away from home.
Art Department Chairs Gallery (Marion Ady Building):
Beautiful View, Magnificent Desolation
Patrick Vogel
Solo Exhibition
These works are a blend of personal mythology, exo-speculation, and primitive hypertext all stewing as a nonlinear visual thought form. Recasting the postmodern nightmare through the boundless energy of critical utopia, we just might fabricate history. Enjoy, and share what sticks.
Boise-Cascade Gallery (Marion Ady Building):
On Form and Function
Rafael Ordorica
Solo Exhibition
Opening up a dialogue of the relationships between the Form of everyday objects, and how it relates to their Function.
JELD WEN Gallery (Marion Ady Building):
The Voice of the Art Students
Contemporary Drawing & Painting Art Class
Group Exhibition
We are The Voice of the Art Students from Contemporary Drawing & Painting Art class, speaking about what matters to us.The exhibit is focused on art that depicts issues we consider important – be it personal, political, ecological, global or any other kind. The intent is to have the audience stand face to face with the artwork in order to understand not only the obvious but also the hidden – the problem as a conversation towards a solution.
