Left Edge Collaborative Studio, Ashland, OR
Left Edge Collaborative Studio, led by SOU faculty member David Bithell, is comprised of students from the Studio Art and Emerging Media and Digital Arts (EMDA) programs. Utilizing a wide range of skills including 3D modeling, fabrication, social media, documentation, coding, robotics, and music composition, this team of artists develops large-scale projects in interdisciplinary arts and technology.
Thorndike Gallery (Art Building):
Ruth Lantz, Portland, OR
Ruth Lantz received her Master’s in Visual Studies from the Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) in Portland, OR. She has been featured in galleries at the University of Illinois at Chicago, PNCA, Washington State University Vancouver, Lower Columbia College (Longview, WA), Linfield College (McMinnville OR) and Governors State University (University Park, IL). Her work has been seen in spaces such as: The Laura Russo Gallery (Portland OR), Disjecta (Portland OR), Ditch Projects (Springfield OR) and Swarm Gallery (Oakland CA).
She is currently an instructor at Portland Community College. Lantz is represented by Elizabeth Leach Gallery in Portland, OR.
Boise-Cascade Gallery (Marion Ady Building):
Ashley Clasby & Dr. Wilkins-O’Riley Zinn, Ashland, OR
Ashley E. Clasby is currently attending the Masters of Arts in Teaching program at Southern Oregon University. Clasby studied art at the University of Oregon with a focus in Printmaking and Fiber Arts. Interested in the exploration of ecological aspects of the human fostering sustainable action Clasby as an artist and teacher she hopes to help future generations create a sustainable environment for the human condition to positively thrive, just as Zinn.
Dr. Wilkins-O’Riley Zinn was a Professor of Education at Southern Oregon University, as well as a successful lecturer and an accomplished artist. Fiercely devoted to making the classroom a nurturing, safe, and fun environment for both students and instructors, Zinn emphasized creativity, kindness, and empathy in her teachings.

The term “out of true” denotes a misalignment or an imbalance. It’s often used to describe a bicycle wheel that is no longer aligned or a house frame that is not level. In such a scenario a “truing” process is undertaken to bring the object or issue into the required alignment for the necessary purpose.
