Faces of Nepal: Remembering the Earthquake, oil portraits by Sandra Davis – a way of  bearing witness to the people of Nepal after the devastating earthquake in April 2015 that killed more than 8500 people. Traveling to India, Nepal and Sikkim in 2004, many of these paintings are from photographs taken by the artist. Sandra studied art in California and Oregon focusing on figure drawing, illustration and painting.

Pottery: Fun and Functional, something for everyone by Marydee Bombick. High fire pottery from bowls to birdbaths will be featured this month at AAW. Some of Marydee’s pieces are thrown although more and more of her work is hand built, often decorated with a variety of stamps. All glazes are oven, microwave and dishwasher safe.

First Friday, August 7, 6-8 pm, music by Bluegrass duo “Blades of Grass.”
