Paintings, Jewelry, Woodwork by Art Students
Each March AAW provides a venue for Ashland High School art students to show their work and interact with customers. AAW artists mentor students as they prepare to exhibit their work. This year’s student artists at AAW will be Sonora Mindling-Werling and Theo Whitcomb.
Sonora Mindling-Werling says she’s been drawing and painting ever since she could hold a pencil. Her favorite mediums are watercolor and ink pen, but she’s also been known to dabble in oil paints, colored pencils, chalk, collage, photography, digital art and making jewelry. Sonora speaks three languages and has a passion for aerial dancing and snowboarding as well as art.
Theo Whitcomb, will be showing acrylic paintings at Ashland Art Works. Theo was Ashland Kiwanis’ Student of the Month in December 2014. Theo plays football at AHS and is interested in film making as well as painting.
Woodworking students from AHS will also be displaying their fine wood products.
