Songs of the Earth and Sea
Meditations by Marjett Schille
First Friday reception Dec. 6 from 5 – 8 pm,
meet the artist, wine and live music
“As I paint I strive to touch, be touched by and to express the life force of nature in my work. If my art can serve, even in a small way, as a voice for the environment then I feel it has been a worthwhile effort.
My work is in watercolor, mixed media, oils, charcoal and fired clay. I am inspired by the images and
histories of animals, plants, indigenous peoples and the landscape of both the South and the Northwest, and I exhibit my work in galleries and juried exhibits in both regions.” – Marjett Schille
Marjett also works as an illustrator, in particular of children’s books.
Music in December will be provided by “Plain Folk” singing choral arrangements of traditional folk music from cultures across the globe.
