Both of her parents are talented artists, as well. Art is a way for her to express herself sans words, conveying emotion in those that admire her pieces. Starting out as just sketches, only a select few make it to larger pieces, […]

As well as making art, she also creates braid-in synthetic dreads, which you can often see her wearing. Joseph Linaschke, Ashland-based commercial and fine art photographer

Joseph Linaschke, aka “PhotoJoseph”, is an Ashland-based commercial and fine art photographer. The show currently hanging at Enoteca is a series of black and white images of manmade and natural landmarks around the world, printed on dye-infused aluminum. The result is a stunning effect where the lighter areas of the image reveal raw textured metal and darker areas are saturated in black ink. The prints come to life as light dances off the texture, resulting in a beautiful viewing experience.

Matthew Bohn Fine Art

Fine Pencil Art and Graphic Design by Local Artist Matthew Bohn. This show will be displayed through August. As Matthew took private drawing lessons and his love for pencil art flourished. After about a year, he started to develop the skills that were taught to him and incorporated them into his own drawing style. It has been Matthew’s goal to affect the world of art by picking a variety of subjects (ranging from nature to people, from renaissance to pop culture), each will hopefully catch someone’s attention and cause them to stop and think about God, who created it first. Thomas Kinkade Private Collection

Enoteca by EdenVale is proud to announce our showing of 16 original paintings by Thomas Kinkade. Nancy DeAmicis, a local private collector, is selling a portion of her collection with Certificates of Authenticity and Enoteca is where to find them. Thomas Kinkade, “Painter of Light,” found that he was inspired by painting straight from the heart, putting on canvas the natural wonders and images that moved him most. It was this dedication and focus on the ultimate goal of Sharing the Light that made Thomas Kinkade, a simple boy with a brush from the small country town of Placerville, California, the most-collected living artist of his time. We’re very excited to showcase this amazing artist and we hope you will join us in honoring his memory. Come have your first sips of summer with our thirst-quenching Red Rabbit Sangria. A blend of 14 different red wines, Red Rabbit’s 2% residual sugar and fresh, fruity quality makes a perfect base for our winemaker’s Sangria, and brandy, schnapps and fresh fruit combine to compliment the flavors found in this delightful summer recipe.

Taste of Ashland: Raye Aubin & Linda Evans

Raye Aubin’s Artist Statement: Light, energy, shapes, colors and the eternal movement of life have always been a great source of fascination and continual discovery for me. My artwork is inspired by nature and the diversity of the human form. Plein air painting gives me a close up interaction with nature and models. Working with charcoals, oils and watercolors brings to me, a lifetime of challenges and excitement. My style is a blend of traditional realism with a contemporary touch. In my life, art is about appreciating the magnificence of nature and sharing precious moments with family, friends, models and viewers. I am forever grateful. Linda Evans’ Artist Statement: The beauty of the landscape of the Rogue Valley has called to me since I moved to this area in 2006 and began to work here in both oils and pastels. Preserving an appreciation of our beautiful environment, whether it be in panoramic landscapes or intimate close-ups of Nature, is my artistic goal. My strongest influences continue to be the French Impressionists, the California Impressionists, and my own intuitive observations, especially when painting “en plein air,” as I did for the […]

Millie Clarke

Artists Statement: My life took on a new dimension when I decided to try painting. I had thought about it for many years, with the emphasis on “many.” I’ve always loved the paintings of Van Gogh and Picasso so I began by copying one of each artist. I learned that I could copy pretty well, so then it was time to find my own way. I’m still on an exploration learning new methods and trying new materials. Like my mentors, I became an abstract painter learning the meaning of the expression “The Agony and the Ecstasy.” I came to the Rogue Valley at the young age of six in 1949. My dad had been made manager of the newly remodeled F.W. Woolworth store so I grew up in Medford. After high school, Ashland became my home for five years. I left with a husband, an adorable baby and a Master’s Degree in Education. Due to my husbands’s career, overseas assignments took the family to many foreign destinations. Because of these contacts with other cultures, my paintings reflect a continuing interest in varying subject matter and techniques. I am an acrylic […]
