In my paintings, I strive to convey the unfiltered purity of the mystery and magic in everyday life. Many of my paintings are of anonymous people. Some are perplexed, and some are disturbed, while others are proud and others are completely innocent of the chaos around them. To me, a successful painting is one that not only has a good composition, color and forms, but also has a story to tell. If I finish a painting and it makes me smile or laugh, then I know I have done what I set out to do.
