Artists and art appreciators, join us at the Ashland Pony Espresso/Washington Federal Bank for First Friday Art Walk, October 5th, from 5pm-8pm, for a show featuring the fascinating, wonderful visual stories of Melanie E. Cardinal! It’s time to get inspired, so grab a cup of coffee or a meal, meet the artist, and enjoy a fun and relaxing evening of looking at art and talking with other creatives.

About this month’s featured artist:

Melanie is a storyteller. She uses her experiences and observations of life and expresses them in her art. She works with photography and mixed media.  Each medium brings different thoughts and dimensions which she uses to the fullest.

Her passion for art began when she was young. She loved learning about all of the different art forms and history. Though she loved dabbling in many different mediums, she never found her niche until college. While studying film,  Melanie took a beginning photography class and realized that she could tell a story with one frame. She received her bachelor of arts degree in telecommunication with an emphasis in video production and film, and is currently creating art using photography, collage and mixed media.

Melanie feels very blessed to get the opportunity to do something she loves and is  passionate about. She never wants to take for granted the gifts the Lord has given.
