In my paintings, I hope to
evoke something in the
viewer that makes them
think about a story that
might be told, or feel an
emotional connection to the
image. Whether it is an old
building, with many stories
to tell, or the quiet interior
of a restaurant or bar, I am
intrigued with the possibility
of a story.

Penny works in a variety
of traditional and digital
media including acrylic,

deeply interested in how
experiences transform us
and sees life itself as the ultimate creative project. Believing everything is
interconnected, Penny sees experiences and art as seamlessly intertwined.
Ranging from spirited playfulness to introspective figures and abstracted
landscapes, Penny’s paintings are vibrantly colored, textural, and evocative
of life well-lived. They’re an invitation to explore our own lives.

MCIVER
Figurative Ceramic Sculpture
Crooked Mile Gallery, Phoenix
Old World Artifacts, Ashland

katmciver.com
Kat McIver is a self taught artist
working in clay. Her hand built pieces,
mostly figurative, are inspired by the
qualities of the heart center. She finds
pieces come through as an erotic
dance between her hands and the clay.
She has shown her work in galleries
in Minnesota, California, Arizona, New
Mexico and Oregon. Some pieces are
“SpiritKeepers” which have space to
hold ashes of a loved one, or a hope,
dream or intention.
